The Board of Directors of Faith Christian School is composed of a group of men and women who hold first, a personal relationship with our Lord Jesus Christ and commitment to serving Him at all times.
 

Each board member is also committed to Christian education and its importance for the believer’s children. In addition, as an independent, non-denominational Christian school, Faith is committed to maintaining a membership on its board that is representative of the diversity within the school itself. To this end, board membership is limited to no more than three representatives from any one church in Rocky Mount at any one time.
   
          

Jeremy Sisolak, President

Jeremy has spent over two decades at Baker Roofing Company, working his way up from the shop floor into senior management with a focus on process, people development, and organizational effectiveness.

Jeremy and his wife Sarah have four children who have attended FCS since 2022, with a recent graduate and one currently at every level. You’ll find them at games, events, and wherever there is a chance to be present.

At Calvary Chapel Red Oak, Jeremy serves as an Elder, leads the Children’s Ministry, and has organized countless outreaches and activities. If the doors are open, he is usually there serving in some capacity.

A follower of Christ since 2002, Jeremy desires that every FCS student would grow in the nurture and admonition of the Lord, and that this school would leave a lasting mark on this community for Jesus Christ.

DeLeon “Dee” Parker, Jr., Vice President

Dee is the founding attorney at The Parker Law Office, PLLC, specializing in residential and commercial real estate law. He has served the Rocky Mount community for almost three decades, focusing on process, stewardship, and thoughtful leadership.

Dee and his wife, Khristy, have three grown children, two of whom are alumni of Faith Christian School. He has enjoyed spending time at school watching tennis and being involved with Youth and Government, and values the role FCS plays in shaping students’ lives.

At church, Dee has served as a Deacon, Sunday School teacher and small group facilitator, and member of music ministries, seeking to support families and nurture faith. Dee’s desire is for every FCS student to grow in wisdom and grace, and for the school to be a lasting blessing to the community.

Ray Thomas, Treasurer

Ray retired in 2021 after 13 years as President of Qualis Management, LLC, a healthcare administrator providing utilization management, vendor contracting, and software solutions for hospice and DME clients. His retirement capped a 25-year
healthcare career that included multiple management, leadership, and executive roles. He holds Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in history from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte.

Before entering healthcare, Ray enjoyed a professional tennis career. After earning MVP in varsity tennis at North Carolina State University, he competed on the professional tour and later advanced to director-level tennis positions. Named North
Carolina Tennis Professional of the Year by the United States Professional Tennis Association, he has coached FCS Varsity Tennis since 2024.

Following Christ for 45 years, Ray has taught Sunday School, led theology seminars, and served as a deacon. He has been married over 40 years and has two children and two grandchildren.

​William Futrell, Board Member

William brings a heart for Christian education, discipleship, and nearly two decades of ministry experience to the Faith Christian School Board of Directors. He has served as Pastor of Knightdale Baptist Church since 2023 and previously worked as a public school teacher in North Carolina and New Jersey.

 

William and his wife, Tracy, have been married since 1999, and their three children attended and graduated from Faith Christian School, giving their family a long and meaningful connection to the school community.

 

At Knightdale Baptist, William’s ministry centers on teaching, shepherding, and equipping families to follow Christ. He desires to support FCS in forming students who love the Lord, pursue wisdom, and serve their churches and communities with faithfulness.

​Lynne Patterson, Board Member

Lynne served for 14 years at NC Wesleyan University as a Financial Aid Advisor, helping traditional and adult students and their families make higher education more affordable and accessible.

Lynne and her husband, Allen, have one child who has attended FCS since 2018 and is now a high school freshman. Their family is actively involved in the FCS community, regularly supporting students through athletic events and other campus activities.

Lynne and her family attend Parkwood Baptist Church, where she serves on the Finance Committee and volunteers in various programs throughout the year. Having followed Christ since high school, Lynne is passionate about Christian education. Her prayer is that every FCS student will be nurtured in their faith, grow in their knowledge of the Lord and that FCS will continue to leave an enduring legacy for Jesus Christ throughout the community.

Laura Strickland, Board Member

Laura has served the local hospital as a pharmacist since 2010.  She earned her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Campbell University and later obtained her Clinical Pharmacist Practitioner credentialing to become an advanced practice provider.  She specializes in anticoagulation and is passionate about providing her patients with the best care. 

Laura has been a faithful member of Englewood Baptist Church for many years and accepted Christ as her Savior as a young child.  She serves as a youth leader and outreach leader, where she enjoys encouraging young people in their faith and helping others connect with the Church.

 
Laura and her husband, Ryan, have three children.  Two are current students at Faith, and the youngest will attend in the future as well.  She is committed to helping the school remain firmly grounded in God's truth while pointing students and families toward Christ in all aspects of life.
