FCS Middle School Enrichment Program Philosophy

While all of our middle school students currently have an appropriately rigorous curriculum in academics and a chance to explore music, art, drama, and odyssey of the mind, our Enrichment Program will take our offerings to the next level, as FCS continues to strive towards excellence in reaching all of our students with appropriate challenges both academically and artistically.

Students choosing an Arts Enrichment environment will move beyond the general introductory curriculum of our elective period, and have the opportunity to develop specific artistic skills related to musical or theatrical performance, or advanced visual arts techniques.

Students choosing an Academic Enrichment environment will explore 

a variety of critical thinking and problem solving techniques in a small class setting. The classroom setting will explore hands on project based learning experiences.

While we expect the Enrichment Program to provide our students with an opportunity to grow, it is also our goal to not overwhelm our students as the Enrichment Period adds an 8th Period daily. Our goal is that the added period serves as an enrichment time to enhance skill and passion.
